Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is seeking an Operations Control Deputy Manager in Leeds. This pivotal role sits at the heart of decisions impacting Customers, Aircraft and Colleagues, driving resilience and performance across OCC activities.

You will deputise for the OCC Manager, lead coaching programs, and champion a strong safety culture while delivering continuous improvements and engaging with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in airline OCC or similar ops control environment.
• Strong decision-making under pressure.
• Proven leadership and coaching of teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Operations Control Manager and support leadership and decisions.
• Oversee safe, compliant and efficient OCC delivery, including disruption escalation.
• Provide coaching and development to Operations Control Duty Managers.
• Lead projects and continuous improvement across the OCC.
• Monitor performance, safety and compliance with a just culture ethos.
• Interface with wider OCC and advise senior management on operations.
• Support onboarding, competence management and succession planning.
• Office-based (Mon–Fri) at Low Fare Finder House, Yeadon, with occasional shifts.

What you’ll be doing:

• Deputise for the Operations Control Manager, supporting departmental leadership and operational decision-making.
• Support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Operations Control activities, including escalation management during disruption.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to Operations Control Duty Managers.
• Lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the OCC.
• Monitor operational performance, compliance, and safety standards, promoting a strong Just Culture ethos.
• Act as a key interface across the wider OCC and provide operational recommendations to senior management.
• Support onboarding, competence management, and succession planning within the team.
• Office-based (Monday to Friday) at Low Fare Finder House, Yeadon, with occasional operational shift and on-call cover

What you'll have:

• Previous experience within an airline Operations Control / OCC environment is preferred.
• Strong operational decision-making capability under pressure.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing operational teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
• A collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
