Job summary

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is seeking an Operations Coordinator for the Operations Control Centre. The role supports flying operations, ensuring safety and on-time performance while coordinating across teams.

It operates on a 4 on-4 off, 12-hour shift pattern and is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Responsibilities include monitoring weather, aircraft serviceability and crewing, maintaining flight watches and ensuring flight information is accurately entered and shared.

Qualifications

• Ideally previous experience in airline operations.
• Experience as a supervisor or manager in a customer-facing role is a plus.
• Understanding of On Time Performance and operating under tight timescales.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to flying operations with attention to weather, aircraft serviceability, crewing status and issues affecting operations.
• Follow procedures while applying initiative to ensure safety of colleagues, customers and assets.
• Maintain flight watch and ensure accurate tracking and distribution of flight information.

Job Description:

The Operations Control Centre (OCC) within Jet2 is one of the busiest areas to work within the company.
Join us as we’re looking to hire an Operations Coordinator to join our Operations Control Team.
It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year!
This is the area of the business where the decisions made have a direct impact on our Customers, Aircraft and Colleagues. With this comes a lot of responsibility but also a lot of pride.

Reporting to the Operations Controller, our Operations Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring the operational flying programme and coordinating support from all teams ensuring that we are operating safely and in accordance with all Company and Statutory requirements. This role plays a vital role in the achievement of Jet2.com’s On Time Performance targets.
This role will work across a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off - 12 hour) and is a Fixed-term contract for 12 months.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide support to all flying operations with particular attention to weather, aircraft serviceability, crewing status and other potential issues that may have an adverse impact.
• Be able to think outside of the box but also follow company procedures and policies to ensure the safety of colleagues, customers, and company assets.
• Maintain a flight watch of all company flights and ensure accurate tracking of each aircraft as well as ensuring all flight information is completed and correctly entered and distributed as required.

What you’ll have:

• Ideally have previous experience working within an airline operations environment. Any experience within ground operations, passenger handling, and flying would be an advantage.
• Experience as a supervisor or manager in a customer facing or non-airline operational role would also be considered.
• Demonstrate and understanding of the importance of On Time Performance with experience of working under your own initiative and to tight timescales.
• Be a supportive and effective team worker.
