Job summary

Sam's Place is a vibrant charity supporting young people with disabilities, SEND and autism across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. We are seeking an Operations Co-ordinator to join our team to coordinate activities, support families and volunteers, and help make our services welcoming, safe and engaging.

This permanent, part-time role (18 hours per week) offers flexibility for the right candidate and involves managing bookings, communications, events and day-to-day administration while building

Qualifications

  • Passionate about improving opportunities for young people with disabilities, SEND and autism.
  • Organised, proactive and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A confident communicator who can build strong relationships with families, volunteers and professionals.
  • Creative and comfortable using social media and digital communications, with excellent ICT skills to support the charity.
  • Empathetic, resilient and committed to delivering outstanding support.
  • Excited by the opportunity to help a local charity grow and develop.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of exciting activities and initiatives.
  • Building positive relationships with young people, families, volunteers and partners.
  • Coordinating trips, fundraising events and community activities.
  • Managing bookings, registrations and attendance records.
  • Supporting volunteer recruitment, induction and compliance.
  • Creating engaging content for social media, newsletters and our website.
  • Assisting with invoicing and day-to-day administration.
  • Helping to ensure activities are delivered safely and inclusively.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for enquiries about our services.

Job description

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 18 hours per week with some flexibility for negotiation for the right candidate

Salary: £14,040 per annum (£15.00 per hour)

Proposed Interview Dates: 19th - 21st August & 25th - 26th August

Sam's Place is a vibrant and growing charity supporting young people with disabilities, special educational needs and autism across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Due to the retirement of the existing postholder, we are seeking a passionate, organised and enthusiastic Operations Co-ordinator to join our team and help shape the next chapter of our journey.

This is far more than just an administration role. You'll be at the heart of our charity, helping to coordinate activities, support young people and families, organise events and trips, work with volunteers, manage communications and help ensure our services remain welcoming, safe and engaging for everyone who walks through our doors.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same at Sam's Place. You could be:
