Job summary

William Wilson in Inverurie is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our warehouse team. You will supply materials, check goods in against delivery notes, pick and label items for customers and branches, and deputise for the supervisor as required.

The role includes occasional local van deliveries if needed, a 42.5 hour week, Monday to Friday with some Saturday mornings on a rota. A full UK driving licence and team attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Prior warehouse experience.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Providing a high level of customer service by supplying the correct materials
• Checking goods-in are correctly delivered against delivery notes and goods are booked in on the system then put away accurately and safely
• Accurately picking and labelling goods booked out to customers and other branches using the system ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed
• Deputising for the Operations Supervisor or Manager as required
• Driving a van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers in the local area when the main driver is off e.g. holiday cover

This is a full time time permanent role working 42.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.30am - 5.00pm and 4.30pm and Saturday mornings on a 1/3 rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.
