Now Hiring: Freelance Operations Assistant (Part-Time, 3 Days per Week)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Assistant to support our logistics, customer service, and administrative functions across both our e-commerce and B2B operations. This freelance position offers flexible hybrid working and is ideally suited for someone with experience in operational support.

Jukes Cordialities, established in 2020 by world-renowned wine taster, journalist, and author Matthew Jukes, is a premium, healthy, alcohol-free drink brand. Our mission is to deliver exceptional taste experiences without compromise. Proudly served in +25 Michelin-starred restaurants globally, our primary e-commerce markets are the UK and the USA, with availability also spanning France, Switzerland, and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service (E-Commerce):

• Respond to daily customer enquiries received via our customer service inbox, with increased volume during peak periods
• Address questions related to orders and website functionality
• Operate within the Shopify platform and communicate with our third-party logistics (3PL) partners

Fulfilment and Stock Replenishment:

• Coordinate monthly or bi-monthly shipments to our UK and US 3PL warehouses
• Liaise with our production site and freight forwarders to arrange collections
• Book deliveries and ensure timely communication across all parties involved

B2B Order Processing:

• Support with processing B2B orders from UK retailers, UK distributors, and International partners
• Coordinate delivery logistics, generate invoices via Xero, and ensure production is aligned for dispatch

Packaging and Supply Orders (Occasional):

• Manage occasional procurement of packaging materials, labels, and other supply chain components

Sample Shipments via DHL:

• Facilitate the preparation and dispatch of product samples to journalists and trade prospects
• Arrange shipments via the DHL platform and follow up on any issues with their support team
• Oversee the monthly logistics for transporting liquid to canning facilities and returning finished product
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for each run

Accounting Support:

• Collect and forward invoices from suppliers to our bookkeeping team

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in an operational support role within e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain
• Proficiency with tools such as Shopify, Xero, DHL, and 3PL management systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
• The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
