Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking an Operations Assistant to support warehouse duties in Cambridge. The role involves picking/packing goods, putting away deliveries, and assisting across the branch to meet customer requirements.

The position is permanent, full-time (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri 7:00-16:00 and alternating Sat 8:00-12:00). A warehouse background and a proactive, team-oriented attitude are essential.

• Warehouse experience is essential.
• Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
• To be a team player and have a 'can do' attitude.
• Able to handle a physically demanding job.

Responsibilities

• Working within the warehouse picking/packing goods

• Assisting the team in all areas of the branch including the trade counter and where needed to ensure customer requirements are met

As an Operations Assistant based in Cambridge you will be responsible for:

• Working within the warehouse picking/packing goods
• Putting away deliveries into allocated areas
• Assisting the team in all areas of the branch including the trade counter and where needed to ensure customer requirements are met
• Manual handling and using lifting equipment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00am - 16:00pm and Saturday mornings 08:00am - 12:00pm on a rota basis.
