Job description

Operations Analyst

We are seeking an Operations Analyst for an established, blue-chip energy trading company. The role involves the reconciliation of derivative positions traded on exchanges, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly and accurately, in accordance with business transaction procedures, across all exchange-traded products.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in an Operations function within an energy trading environment, collaborating with trading counterparties, as well as Commercial and Front Office teams, including traders.
• Deep specialization in derivatives.
• Strong experience in Trade Support, Reconciliation, or Operations roles dealing with ETD products such as Futures, (Structured) Options, Swaps, and CFDs.
• Excellent knowledge of Clearing, Settlement, and Margin Payment processes, including IM/VM/OTE calculations and understanding exchange/clearing broker statements.
• Understanding of ETD market structures and relationships between Exchanges, Clearing Houses, and Clearing & Execution Brokers; prior interaction with these entities is essential.
