Position:
- Monitoring our contract delivery positions using our in-house developed system, gaining exposure to our high-profile counterparties and coordinating with clients and hauliers.
- Supporting the execution of contracts concluded by the Front Desk.
- Coordinating with clients, hauliers, surveyors, inspection companies, shipbrokers, ship owners, agents, and insurance companies to fulfill contracts.
- Maintaining shipment files in electronic and paper formats.
- Providing routing information and issuing shipping instructions to ensure timely and correct deliveries.
- Tracking goods en route and resolving issues to prevent delays.
- Instructing or appointing cargo surveyors at loading and discharging ports when needed.
- Negotiating and booking haulage and freight with freight forwarders and container line representatives.
- Taking responsibility for personal performance and contributing to organizational goals.
- Attending relevant training courses.
- Familiarizing oneself with company policies, health & safety legislation, and emergency procedures.
- Following managerial instructions and covering colleagues when absent.
- Adapting to business changes as necessary.
- Managing activities related to product safety, authenticity, legality, and quality, aligned with BRCGS standards.
Requirements:

Desirable:
- Knowledge of truck and container movements (including rail, wagon, and warehouse)

- Understanding of RSA/SAOL/Sugar No. 11 regulations and Incoterms 2020
- Experience with import/export processes at seaports and shipping terminology
- Second language proficiency
