A fast-growing UK banking group and market-leading cross-border FX and payments firm seeking a VP - Operational Risk Manager. London based.

Job Description

The VP - Operational Risk Manager will:

• Support the Head of Operational Risk in the independent oversight of Operational Risk across the bank.
• Enhance the Operational Risk Management Framework and its components (Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA), incidents, operational scenario analysis, etc.).
• Provide oversight and challenge to RCSA's and risk assessments for new products or initiatives.
• Standardize and improve 2LoD owned policies and procedures, ensuring understanding, communication, embedding, and compliance across the bank.
• Engage with 1LoD to ensure policies adhere to standards and guidelines.
• Train and educate the 1LoD to embed the Operational Risk Management Policy.
• Prepare risk committee and board papers, including managing known audit and control weaknesses.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements include:

• Professional or industry qualification such as IOR, IRM, or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of UK financial services and regulatory framework.
• Several years of risk management experience at a senior level.
• Exposure to Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and other risk types like financial crime, credit, liquidity, conduct, etc.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of Operational Risk.

What's on Offer

VP level salary ranging from £90,000 to £100,000, plus bonus and benefits package.
