Job summary

Referment is partnering with a fully regulated UK digital bank to recruit an Operational Risk Analyst in London or Manchester. This second-line role focuses on developing and maintaining the Operational Risk Management Framework and promoting a risk-aware culture across the business.

You will advise and challenge teams on identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting operational risks, ensuring robust controls and timely management information for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, risk management, or related assurance role.
• Familiarity with RCSAs, risk events, issues management and KRIs.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to report to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and independent judgement.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess operational risks and support robust controls.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify weaknesses and propose improvements.
• Develop and maintain operational risk policies and procedures.
• Oversee RCSA process with risk assessments, controls and actions.
• Coordinate risk events, issue tracking and ownership of actions.
• Analyze events to identify trends and root causes.
• Test and monitor control effectiveness.
• Develop and monitor KRIs and escalate emerging risks.
• Prepare management reporting for senior management and Board.
• Provide second-line advice on projects and new products.
