Job summary

Kroo Bank Ltd is hiring an Operational Risk Analyst in Manchester to help develop and maintain the bank's operational risk framework. You will report to the Operational Risk Manager in the 2LOD and provide guidance to teams on risk identification, assessment and controls.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, policy development, risk event coordination, and reporting to senior management. Hybrid working and regular collaboration across the bank are expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in operational risk, risk management, internal controls or a related assurance role, ideally within banking or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kroo’s operational risk management framework.
• Provide advice, oversight and challenge to help teams identify, assess, monitor and report operational risks.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify control weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Support development of risk policies and procedures.
• Coordinate risk events and issues with clear owners and progress tracking.
• Review risk events to identify recurring themes and root causes.
• Plan and carry out testing to assess design and operation of controls.
• Monitor key risk indicators and escalate where necessary.
• Prepare management information and reports for senior management and the Board.
• Provide second line advice on projects and new products to identify risks.
