Job summary

Kroo Bank is seeking an Operational Risk Analyst to help build and maintain its risk management framework in a London- or Manchester-based role with hybrid working. You will support risk identification, assessment and reporting across the first and second lines of defence, helping teams strengthen controls and transparency.

The role emphasizes risk analysis, policy development and continuous improvement, with exposure to board-level reporting and collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, risk management, internal controls or related assurance in banking/financial services.
• Understanding of risk frameworks and first/second lines of defence.
• Familiarity with risk events, issues management and KRIs.
• Ability to assess design and effectiveness of controls; document findings.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
• Ability to prepare reports for senior stakeholders; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kroo’s operational risk management framework.
• Provide advice, oversight and challenge to teams for risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting.
• Assist in risk assessments and reviews; identify control weaknesses and improvements.
• Develop, maintain and implement operational risk policies and procedures.
• Support RCSA process with oversight of risk assessments, controls and actions.
• Coordinate risk events and issues; monitor progress and ownership.
• Plan testing and monitoring to ensure controls operate effectively.
• Develop and monitor key risk indicators and escalate risks.
• Produce monthly and quarterly risk reports for management and Board.
