Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an Operational Risk Oversight Manager – Operational Resilience to join the Second Line of Defence. The role focuses on how Nationwide manages resilience outcomes, identifies resilience risks and challenges, and protects members by strengthening frameworks.

You will engage with First Line Operational Resilience and Business Continuity teams, pillar risk groups, and underpin our critical services, providing guidance on risk management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of operational resilience management principles.
• Experience in risk management, audit, or compliance within financial services.
• Strong analytical and review skills for risk frameworks.
• Stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.
• Highly adaptable and self-motivated to manage multiple resilience initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Operational Risk oversight of Nationwide’s resilience posture and governance.
• Monitor resilience methodologies, controls and reporting and assess the framework for gaps.
• Provide assurance to senior management and risk committees on resilience posture.
• Stay up to date with industry and regulatory developments in resilience.
• Collaborate with Operational Risk, Compliance and first-line teams to drive improvements.
