Job summary

Coventry Building Society is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Operational Resilience team. You will shape the resilience framework, drive regulatory alignment and embed resilience across the organisation to protect critical services and customers.

In this role you will oversee governance, reporting and incident management, chair resilience forums, and work with senior stakeholders to deliver robust continuity capabilities across locations including Manchester and Coventry.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding and experience of maintaining and developing Operational Resilience frameworks within retail banking.
• Strong background in business continuity, including IT recovery, cyber security, risk management, physical security and third-party resilience.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of developing teams, influencing senior stakeholders and driving delivery.
• Excellent judgement, ownership and accountability in both BAU and incident situations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, working to tight deadlines and delivering pragmatic solutions.
• Strong understanding of PRA, FCA and other regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex resilience, technology and risk matters for Executive and Board audiences.
• Experience producing Board, Committee and Executive-level papers, MI, dashboards and regulatory reporting.
• Strong governance and stakeholder management experience, including committee coordination, oversight forums and programme reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operational Resilience governance activities including committee management and action tracking.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and programme oversight for resilience.
• Coordinate Crisis Management function and incident response meetings.
• Represent Operational Resilience across governance forums and report to senior stakeholders.
• Support development of high-quality reporting, MI and governance papers.
• Travel between Manchester and Coventry offices as part of a hybrid model.
