You will be responsible for the Operational Resilience Framework and help ensure we continue to meet Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements! Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will provide oversight and constructive challenge, helping us protect customers and important business services during severe but plausible disruption. The successful candidate can be based in Bristol or London.

In This Role, You Will
  • Lead the governance and oversight of Operational Resilience across Bank of Ireland UK, ensuring our policies, frameworks, controls and reporting remain effective and aligned with UK regulatory requirements.
  • Work with risk teams, second line functions and Group Operational Resilience colleagues on regulatory developments, assurance activity, regulatory engagement and risk management.
  • Embed resilience by design, ensuring Operational Resilience is considered within change activity and higher-risk initiatives.

You will have practical experience across areas such as important business services, impact tolerances, mapping, scenario testing, vulnerability management, self-assessment, governance or regulatory engagement. You can interpret PRA and FCA requirements and translate them into practical frameworks, controls and evidence.

A clear understanding of the distinction and relationship between operational resilience, operational risk, business continuity, technology resilience, cyber resilience, crisis management and third-party risk.

You communicate complex topics clearly, use sound judgement and can provide constructive challenge to senior stakeholders. An understanding of how Operational Resilience connects with operational risk, business continuity, technology and cyber resilience, crisis management and third-party risk will also be important.
