Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Operational Manager to lead the Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) Service. Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with professional registration (NMC/HCPC/Social Work England).
• Experience of working with service users in crisis is desirable.
• Operational leadership and governance experience in health/criminal justice settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational management of the MHTR Service, ensuring safe, effective, responsive and person-centred care.
• Lead the operational delivery of the service, managing referrals, caseloads, waiting times, pathways and discharge.
• Provide line management, supervision, mandatory training, and staff wellbeing support.
• Promote an inclusive, compassionate team culture and manage recruitment, attendance, and performance.
• Provide professional and clinical leadership to the team for complex needs and risks.
• Advise on complex clinical and safeguarding issues with robust risk management.
• Ensure high standards of assessment, care planning, and treatment delivery with trauma-informed practice.
• Develop partnerships with Probation, CMHTs, primary care, social care, housing, and other partners.
• Represent the service at internal/external meetings and contribute to integrated pathways.
• Lead clinical and operational governance and ensure compliance with policies and information governance.
