Job summary

Evri is offering an Operational Leader Apprentice position based at Barnsley Hub with travel to Rugby Hub, Warrington Hub and National Returns Centre. You will join the Hub Operations Team in September 2026, gaining hands-on exposure to operations and real responsibility from day one as you complete a Supply Chain Leadership Level 6 Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• 112 UCAS points from A levels (incl. 64 from two A levels) or equivalent BTEC National qualifications plus English and Maths at C (4/5) or above.
• At least 2 years work experience or 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Hardworking and a strong team player.
• Curious and eager to learn, with a proactive attitude.
• Organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple tasks while keeping a positive outlook.
• A strong communicator, enjoys working within a diverse team.
• Resilient and solution-focused, ready to tackle challenges.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Experience of working with Power BI, and Excel (desirable).
• An interest in operations and people; flexible to work across shifts; driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Run operational shifts and promote best practices to improve performance.
• Understand and manage budgets to help achieve targets.
• Support and motivate teams through coaching and engagement.
• Assist with shift planning and rota management to maximise productivity.
• Use data to spot trends and identify ways to improve cost, service and quality.
• Help ensure quality, service, safety and security standards are met.
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor and provide guidance.
• Support continuous improvement projects and help implement changes.
• Build strong relationships across teams and levels.
• Receive mentoring and join the EVRi Emerging Talent Development programme.
