Job summary

Brightsmith is recruiting an experienced Operational HSE Manager to lead the development and maintenance of an integrated HSE management system across our industrial operations in Belfast. You will ensure compliance with current legislation and ISO standards while supporting the expansion of a new facility.

Reporting to senior management, you will work closely with engineering and operations teams to drive risk reduction, perform audits, deliver training, and foster a proactive safety culture

Qualifications

• Operational HSE experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Experience with risk assessment and incident investigations.
• Regulatory compliance knowledge and auditing experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain HSE management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HSE management systems and processes.
• Lead environmental compliance, permitting and regulatory activities.
• Manage risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversee Management of Change and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct internal audits and support external certification and regulatory audits.
• Develop systems and processes aligned with ISO requirements.
• Deliver HSE training and promote a positive safety culture.
• Support HSE committees, management reviews and performance reporting.
• Provide practical HSE advice and recommendations to senior management.
