Job summary

Your New Company, a leading manufacturing organisation in Lisburn, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to drive the HSE management system on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will work with senior leadership to promote safety culture and regulatory compliance across the site.

You’ll lead audits, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives, mentor managers on legislation, and maintain HSE documentation.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate and a minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification.
• 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental management systems.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Driving the implementation and continuous improvement of Quality and HSE management systems.
• Monitoring compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Advising managers and key stakeholders on HSE legislation, best practice and performance improvement initiatives.
• Planning and conducting internal audits while supporting external and customer audit activities.
• Investigating incidents, non-conformances and customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Producing reports, safety alerts and performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
• Reviewing and maintaining HSE documentation, procedures and legal compliance registers.
• Supporting change management and continuous improvement projects across the business.
• Assisting with customer questionnaires, tender submissions and compliance documentation.
• Promoting a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the organisation.
