Job summary

Technical Signs in Watford is seeking a seasoned Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance lead to implement BrightSafe and build a robust management system from the ground up. You will drive legal compliance, risk assessments and training across office, factory and installation teams.

You will work with senior leadership to embed H&S into daily operations, establish reporting processes and provide the foundations for ISO certifications while supporting wellbeing initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• Chartered IOSH status or working towards it.
• Extensive H&S experience in manufacturing, engineering or construction.
• Experience implementing Health & Safety Management Systems from the ground up.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience with risk assessments, COSHH, PUWER and contractor management.
• Excellent communication, coaching and training delivery.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the BrightSafe management system and related controls.
• Perform comprehensive legal compliance reviews and risk assessments.
• Develop practical H&S systems for office, factory and installation teams.
• Create inspection, audit and monitoring programmes and KPI dashboards.
• Train managers and embed the system across sites and remote teams.
• Support ISO 9001 and lay foundations for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
