A progressive Financial Services vendor based out of Manchester are recruiting for an Operational Controls Manager! This new role has been created in line with increasing business maturity and sustained growth. The successful candidate will be required to define and execute on strategy today, with a view to building out a team as the needs of the organisation evolve.

Please note: this is a hybrid role that requires you to be commutable to Manchester UK, although the frequency is flexible.

Responsibilities

1. Develop, oversee and implement organisational controls, cross-functionally across the business
2. Ongoing process monitoring to ensure adherence to controls, seeking continuous improvement
3. Introduction of KPIs to track the effectiveness of controls, reporting up to senior leadership
4. Build strong relationships with internal teams, senior leadership & external auditors - working closely with the GRC team.
5. Promote a culture of operational excellence - awareness and accountability of business controls is the responsibility of all!

Minimum Requirements:

1. Professional experience in a similar operational control / operational excellence / risk management position
2. A strong understanding of operational risk frameworks and risk assessment strategies
3. Working examples of designing and managing frameworks

Highly desirable experience:

1. A degree in Operations Management, Risk Management, Business Administration or similar
2. Finance, payments, banking and/or SaaS experience
3. You may be Six Sigma certified or a Certified Risk Management Professional
