Operational Excellence is a programme of work which spans across all TUI Airline functions with the objective to drive improved on time performance and reduce the impact of operational disruption for our customers. The programme consists of five key workstreams which need to interface across COO, E&M and CFOO areas of TUI Airline as well as with the market Aviation Planning teams.

As Operational Excellence Manager, your focus will be to drive forward and develop the strategic approach for the Operational Excellence Programme in close collaboration with senior stakeholders across all TUI Airline functions. You will then be responsible for translating the strategic goals into agreed programme deliverables and milestones. Throughout, your passion will help drive a culture of operational excellence across all stakeholders. The Operational Excellence Manager will be a key interface between the programme steering group and working groups bringing strategic alignment and operational oversight of programme deliverables.

In this role, you'll report to the Head of Operations Control & Customer and provide support to the Ground Operations team which will help to drive further alignment between these functions that are pivotal to Operational Excellence delivery.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead the implementation of the TUI Airline Operational Excellence programme, balancing commercial, customer and operational requirements within schedule and fleet constraints.
  • Promote and develop an Operational Excellence culture, ensuring all stakeholders become immersed in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Define and implement comprehensive KPIs to drive effective decision-making that balances operational delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse operational performance data and develop hypotheses to test using data science tools, while driving the digitalization agenda for operational performance.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across TUI Airline and markets, working collaboratively to ensure proactive information sharing and alignment of decisions.
  • Lead and guide high-performing teams by establishing clear structures and fostering the TUI Airline Spirit to drive the company's vision.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have airline, transformation, and leadership experience with the ability to think strategically, commercially, and operationally.
  • You're a logical thinker who can generate ideas, solve problems, and provide alternatives while maintaining attention to detail.
  • You're a strong communicator with experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams.
  • You demonstrate excellent judgment and are comfortable operating in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • You're a self-motivated leader who takes initiative and works collaboratively with a track record of leading and developing teams.
  • You have strong business English skills (both spoken and written) and the ability to operate across source markets with multiple stakeholders.
  • It is desirable that you have previous experience working within an Operations Control Centre (OCC).
