Job summary

Pivotal is seeking a consultant with strong data governance experience for the UK Financial Services market. The engagement covers governance under UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and FCA SYSC requirements, with DPIA framework alignment and ROPA updates.

You will audit source systems, design a migration strategy for a central data platform, and manage ETL execution, cutover, and stabilisation while engaging DPOs and senior stakeholders to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering data governance projects in financial services.
• Proven ability to run DPIAs and liaise with DPOs.
• Knowledge of UK GDPR and FCA SYSC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Audit source systems, data quality, and volumes; map source-to-target data.
• Design a phased ETL migration plan and reconciliation strategy.
• Lead data protection governance reviews and update retention/ROPA mappings.
• Coordinate with DPO and senior stakeholders; manage risk findings.
• Oversee go-live support and post-migration stabilization.
