SSE is seeking an Asset Control Technician in Perth, Scotland. You’ll monitor, control and optimise over 2GW of wind, solar and storage assets from a state-of-the-art control room.

This permanent, full-time role requires you to work a structured shift pattern within a 45-minute commute, ensuring safe operation, Grid Code compliance and rapid fault response as part of a dedicated renewables team.

Formación

• Experience in an operational control room.
• Strong analytical and IT skills with SCADA and telephony systems.
• Relevant technical education (HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Practical experience of industry safety frameworks.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and operate onshore wind, solar and battery assets in real time, responding to faults via remote intervention or on-site support.
• Despatch assets to maximise revenue across markets (Balancing Mechanism, Wholesale, Ancillary).
• Manage asset availability and report confidently on capabilities, ensuring Grid Code compliance and market integrity.
• Act as an Operational Controller, handling safety transactions and asset control per safety rules.
• Support site safety, monitoring wellbeing across 50+ sites.
