Are you looking for greater flexibility to work from home? Or perhaps your first Manager grade role where you can learn from a highly talented CRO? This opportunity is with an established, niche insurer.
This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from home every day.
Within 2nd line, you will partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.
You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, focusing on operational and conduct risk. You will support the development and implementation of the risk management framework, lead RCSAs, and develop risk assessments and conduct risk appetite monitoring with stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies.
The role offers scope for personal initiative and encourages challenging the status quo to develop the company's risk culture.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector, with broad risk experience across multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk. Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.
You should have experience developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
