This opportunity is with an established, niche insurer offering fully remote work, allowing you to work from home every day.

In this role within the 2nd line of defense, you’ll collaborate with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making related to operational and conduct risks. Additionally, you’ll support the development and implementation of the company’s risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with 1st line stakeholders.

You’ll also assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed.

This role offers scope for personal initiative and encourages challenging the status quo to foster a strong risk culture within the business.

We are looking for an experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector, ideally with broad Risk experience across multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk. Previous Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.

Candidates should have experience in developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
