Overview: Are you seeking greater flexibility to work from home? Or perhaps you're aiming for your first Manager-grade role where you can learn from a highly talented CRO? This opportunity is with an established, niche insurer.
This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from home every day.
As part of the 2nd line, you'll partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.
You will provide oversight and challenge on 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, focusing on operational and conduct risks. You'll support the enhancement and execution of the company's risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and conduct risk appetite monitoring with 1st line stakeholders.
You will assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
There is ample scope to make this role your own. You will be encouraged to challenge the status quo and contribute to developing the risk culture across the business.
Ideal candidates will be experienced Risk professionals from the Financial Services sector, with broad Risk experience across multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk. Previous Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.
You should have experience developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
