Job summary

EMBL-EBI Literature Services seeks an Outreach and Engagement Officer to connect Europe PMC with researchers, developers and funders. You will build collaborations, run social media campaigns, create content, and deliver training to diverse user groups.

Hybrid work patterns are offered, with opportunities to attend conferences and events. The role focuses on Open Science and AI-driven research lifecycles within Europe PMC.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Information Science or Life Sciences.
• Experience in communications, engagement, marketing within research, scientific publishing or open science.
• Ability to tailor content for diverse audiences including researchers, developers and funders.
• Experience leading engagement strategy development and campaigns.
• Experience managing social media channels and measuring impact.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day engagement activities including social channels, campaigns, partnerships and events.
• Create channel-appropriate content for posts, blogs, videos, and presentations.
• Develop and deliver training sessions for Europe PMC users and stakeholders.
• Monitor engagement KPIs across channels to inform strategy.
• Attend and present at virtual and in-person events; support team with engaging slides.
