Job summary

Europe PMC is seeking an enthusiastic Outreach and Engagement Officer to join the Literature Services team at EMBL-EBI. You will drive engagement with researchers, developers and text and data miners, delivering the Community Engagement Strategy and managing social media channels.

You will create content, deliver training and participate in events, webinars and workshops while aligning communications with funders and partners.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Information Science or Life Sciences.
• Experience in a communications, engagement, or marketing role within a research, open science, or academic context.
• Ability to tailor content for distinct audiences including researchers, developers and open science advocates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Community Engagement Strategy.
• Manage day-to-day engagement activities and social channels; develop content and plan campaigns; liaise with partners; organise events, webinars and training; evaluate engagement activities.
• Tailor messages for early-career and established researchers, developers and text/data miners; create channel-specific content (blogs, posts, videos, slides).
• Create/deliver training sessions and materials; develop webinars and on-demand resources; monitor engagement KPIs and report insights.
