Job summary

Frontiers is seeking a Publishing Development professional to grow open-access journals through strategic outreach and community-building. You will collaborate with researchers, launch themed article collections, and expand journal portfolios, shaping editorial networks worldwide.

You will drive opportunities, manage a robust pipeline, and leverage AI tools to optimize outreach and relationships with editors and authors across multiple journals.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in sales, outreach, or business development with a proven track record of hitting targets.
• Fast-paced environment experience and ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Strong grasp of AI-based tools in business operations contexts.
• Natural communicator with fluent English for global researchers and teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative to drive opportunities.
• Interest in science and openness to learning within academic publishing.

Responsibilities

• Reach out directly to researchers and editors to spark collaborations, launch article collections, recruit into Editorial Board, and liaise with Chief Editors.
• Manage a dynamic sales pipeline from first contact to publication.
• Utilize AI tools to research prospects, personalize outreach, and manage the pipeline.
• Build long-term professional relationships with editors and authors.
• Represent Frontiers journals at conferences, webinars, and online events to grow market footprint.
