Job summary

Springer Nature is seeking an Associate Publisher to manage open access journals in microbiology and oncology portfolios. Reporting to an Executive Publisher, you will drive strategy, oversee journal performance, and coordinate with Editors and the scientific community.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, strong communication, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a hybrid London/NYC environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive portfolio development and management for open access journals.
• Manage annual targets for submissions, publications and transfers.
• Foster engagement with Editors-in-Chief, EBMs, and Societies.
• Navigate changing priorities and adapt to a fast-paced publishing environment.
• Resolve pre- and post-publication issues related to authorship, scope, ethics and consent.
