Job summary

Advanced Secure Technologies in Cardiff is seeking two Technical Engineers to deploy, configure and support our technical products and infrastructure. The role covers application deployment, troubleshooting, SQL Server, APIs, Windows and Linux environments, networking and cybersecurity, with collaboration across Infrastructure, Development and Technical Support teams.

Offer includes a starting salary of £30k–£33k with up to £3k annual bonus, onsite work, 37.5 hours, 25 days holiday and a

Qualifications

Previous experience in a technical engineering, infrastructure, application support or similar technical role.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting or configuring Windows Server environments.
SQL Server and T‑SQL experience.
Experience deploying or supporting web applications.
Good understanding of APIs and system integrations.
Good understanding of networking technologies and troubleshooting.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and upgrade our applications remotely and on customer sites.
Troubleshoot technical issues across applications, servers, databases and network environments.
Deploy and support web applications, APIs and technical integrations.
Use SQL Server and T‑SQL to investigate issues, validate data and support application configuration.
Configure and support Windows and Linux server environments.
Work closely with our Software Development team to investigate and resolve technical issues.
Test application installations, upgrades and technical integrations.
Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
Provide technical guidance and escalation support to our Technical Support Engineers.
Support customers with technical issues and ensure sufficient diagnostic information is captured for further investigation.
Apply cybersecurity best practice when deploying, configuring and supporting systems.
Support wider infrastructure and technical delivery projects across the business.
