Job summary

Computacenter is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to maintain and service a range of MHE systems at our Hatfield head office. This onsite role requires working 5 days a week with patterns 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, ensuring faults are recovered promptly and preventive maintenance is carried out to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified and time-served technician with strong electrical background.
• Experienced in fault finding and rectification in a demanding production environment.
• Previous experience with PLCs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance of material handling equipment.
• PLC and three-phase fault finding and testing.
• Respond promptly to machine faults and carry out planned maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Ensure regular maintenance of machinery and equipment to the highest standards.
• Actively identify and rectify defects in a timely manner.
• Support with facilities when required.
• Complete time sheets, task sheets, and manage stock control.
• Order consumables and manage administrative tasks.
