Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Hatfield is seeking an experienced Shift Technician to join their Building Services team. The successful candidate will work onsite 5 days a week, ensuring effective recovery and maintenance of MHE equipment. Qualifications include a strong electrical background and experience in fault finding. This is a full-time position at the mid-senior level.

Qualifications

• Qualified and time served multi-skilled technician with strong electrical background.
• Experienced in fault finding and rectification in a demanding production environment.
• Previous experience of working with PLCs is an advantage.
• Experience maintaining automated materials handling equipment or similar.
• Self-motivated and flexible with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work at heights.
• Astute practical awareness of Health and Safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to the Shift Team Leader for effective recovery and planned maintenance on MHE equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance on automated materials handling equipment.
• Work in a production environment with strict safety practices.

Shift Technician

Life on the team

We are seeking an experienced Shift Technician to join our dedicated Building Services team at Computacenter within our Hatfield office. The successful applicant will be required to be onsite in our head office (Hatfield) 5 days a week, working shift patterns.

Shift patterns are: 06:00am-14:00pm AND 14:00pm-22:00pm.

What you'll do

The Shift Technician will be responsible to the Shift Team Leader for the effective recovery, rectification of any faults and planned maintenance on the MHE equipment.

What you'll need

• Qualified and time served multi-skilled technician with strong electrical background.
• Experienced in fault finding and rectification, in a demanding production environment.
• Previous experience of working with PLC’s an advantage.
• Experience in maintaining automated materials handling equipment or similar.
• Self-motivated and flexible with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work at heights.
