Job summary

Uk Atomic Energy Authority is seeking a Safety and Health Improvements Advisor to shape and deliver initiatives that strengthen health, safety and wellbeing across the organisation. You will lead improvement projects, analyse performance data and develop practical solutions that boost safety culture and compliance.

This on-site role requires regular presence (3–5 days a week) with flexible options. The salary is £40,402 with excellent benefits including a strong pension and a bonus scheme up to

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH certificate and knowledge of safety disciplines.
  • Experience in behavioural safety, risk assessment and COSHH.
  • Experience in health and safety in technical environments.
  • Experience developing and delivering safety training programmes.
  • Ability to manage defined work packages with autonomy.
  • Knowledge of confined space safety and safety management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety and health improvement projects with independent delivery.
  • Support large safety and health improvement programmes across the organisation.
  • Contribute to safety assurance activities, including inspections and monitoring.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop guidance, training materials and content to implement new processes.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Health Partners to embed SHE improvements.
  • Analyse safety data to identify trends, risks and improvements.
  • Deliver safety training and toolbox talks across topics.
  • Manage safety communications and document updates.
  • Support safety committees and working groups, capturing insights for the programme.
