Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking an experienced Project Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to define and implement actions that improve safety, efficiency, and productivity in a safe working environment. The role is site-based with UK-wide scope and will report to the Health and Safety Manager.

You will promote safe practices, conduct HSE inspections, maintain policy documentation, and support incident investigations while ensuring COSHH and environmental requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Experience of Health, Safety and Environmental management in an engineering operation of similar size and complexity.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or higher in EHS.
• Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, ShareFile & Teams.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive work ethic.
• Knowledge of PSCS duties.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe working practices and ensure the implementation of HSE policy and procedures on site.
• Carry out regular site HSE inspections and report back findings.
• Maintain documentation relating to Health & Safety and Environmental Systems per company policy.
• Coordinate pollution control, waste management, and environmental compliance.
• Lead investigations of accidents/incidents and ensure corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training and promote incident prevention initiatives.
