Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Rail Track Assistant in Glasgow to join our on-site team. You will support track renewal and maintenance activities, follow safety systems, and contribute to reliable rail operations.

The role offers full-time permanent employment (35 hours/week) with a shift roster including days, nights, weekends, and general site duties. Training is provided and previous rail experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of track renewal and maintenance work on site.
• Follow instructions from Supervisors and Senior Track Assistants.
• Use tools and small plant equipment safely and correctly.
• Carry out general site duties to support rail operations.
• Work in line with railway rules, regulations, and health & safety requirements.
