Job summary

Network Rail in Scotland (Arbroath) is seeking a Full-Time Technician specialising in Off Track maintenance. You will maintain, inspect and repair land alongside the track to keep the railway safe and efficient, including vegetation management and drainage tasks.

Our Technicians work outdoors in all weather, day and night, often moving heavy kit. You will be part of a team, with training provided to work safely and competently on the network.

Qualifications

• Experience arranging and implementing safe systems of work.
• Knowledge of organizing and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work.
• Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing.
• NVQ Level 1 or 2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect and repair land alongside the track network.
• Vegetation management and drainage duties as part of the role.
• Work outdoors in all weather, day and night, often with transport of kit over rough terrain.
• Commit to safety and compliance with rail safety standards.
