Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our Beaminster, UK site. The role supports safe, efficient and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment within a continuous batch production environment.

You will perform planned maintenance, diagnose faults, and implement timely repairs to keep downtime to a minimum. The position requires good GMP awareness and collaboration with Operations, Quality and EHS teams on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an engineering/maintenance role within manufacturing (food/pharma or similar regulated).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills (electrical and/or mechanical).
• Good understanding of planned preventive maintenance and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site equipment and utilities.
• Diagnose faults and implement timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support production teams to maintain optimal plant performance and resolve issues.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with site safety procedures, permit systems and GMP standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation (CMMS where applicable).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability, efficiency and cost reduction.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and validation of new equipment or modifications (MOC).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards (HSE, GMP, environmental controls).
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality and EHS teams; support audits and inspections.
