Job summary

Hillarys in Nottingham seeks a highly driven Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and hit KPIs through structured problem-solving and continuous improvement. This hands-on role owns output, quality, delivery, cost and labour efficiency on a site with full-time onsite requirements.

You will lead daily management, translate forecasts into production plans, drive Lean initiatives, and coach section leaders while collaborating with planning, procurement, engineering and quality teams

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading manufacturing operations with KPI delivery.
• Strong Lean manufacturing knowledge and waste elimination experience.
• Experience transforming targets into actionable shopfloor plans.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing performance, delivering output, quality, OTIF and cost KPIs.
• Lead daily management cadence and visual KPI control.
• Translate forecasts into efficient production plans.
• Optimise labour and budget to maximise efficiency and reduce waste.
• Drive continuous improvement and DREAM initiatives with KPI impact.
• Identify constraints and improve throughput and flow.
• Coach Section Leaders to own KPIs using structured problem-solving.
• Ensure robust quality control and cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain equipment availability through maintenance planning and escalation.
• Champion Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance.
