Job summary

Adept Resourcing is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager for our Sheffield site to define and execute the CI strategy, driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost improvements. You will translate operational data into priorities and help teams implement lasting improvements.

Working across engineering and manufacturing, you will identify waste and opportunities, lead Lean projects and coach teams in CI methods, supporting automation and capital investments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing.
• Experience leading improvement projects from identifying an issue through to implementing change.
• Evidence of measurable operational improvements you have delivered.
• Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder engagement skills; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the site's continuous improvement strategy focusing on issues with the greatest scope for improvement.
• Lead Lean initiatives using Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, SMED and waste reduction to improve how work is carried out.
• Analyse KPIs and operational data to identify opportunities, set improvement priorities and measure the results of changes made.
• Lead structured problem‑solving using root cause analysis, 8D, 5 Why, PDCA or DMAIC to address persistent operational issues.
• Coach teams in continuous improvement methods, helping them understand and apply practical approaches to improving performance.
