Job summary

Talantir is seeking a Temporary IT Technician to join our on-site IT team at the Knowsley site. You will provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to staff and students, covering hardware, software and general IT queries, with exposure to Microsoft 365, Active Directory and SharePoint.

The role is 36 hours per week, starting ASAP, Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00, Fri 08:30-16:30, with occasional late shifts up to 19:00 and potential travel across Knowsley and St Helens. DBS clearance on appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, preferably in education.
• Strong communication, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisation, planning, and time-management abilities.
• Proactive, positive and approachable attitude.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• DBS clearance on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support in line with SLAs.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and user issues.
• Log and manage helpdesk tickets.
• Maintain high standards of customer service.
• Support development and implementation of IT processes.
• Ensure adherence to IT security principles.
• Participate in enrolment activities and occasional off-site work.
• Keep up to date with ICT training and development.
