Job summary

Viqu Limited is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our team onsite in Fareham on an 8-month contract. You will provide proactive 2nd line support across a modern Microsoft environment, resolving incidents and supporting business-critical applications.

The role emphasizes Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory management, and Windows 10/11 support, with a focus on robust troubleshooting and uptime. Onsite presence required four days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience providing 2nd line IT support in a Microsoft environment.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration and support experience.
• Solid knowledge of Active Directory user and group management.
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Good understanding of the Microsoft EUC stack.
• Experience supporting business applications and user support.
• Knowledge of application patching and server-based maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd Line technical support to end users, resolving incidents and service requests within SLAs.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, including user management, licensing, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Active Directory user accounts, joiners, movers, leavers, group permissions, and password resets.
• Support and administer Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop environments.
• Deliver application support for third-party and in-house business applications.
• Deploy and patch applications on Windows servers, ensuring security and updates.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
