Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd. is recruiting an IT Technician for a 3-month onsite contract in Bathgate, West Lothian. The role focuses on hands‑on device handling, wiping, and preparing IT equipment for reuse, resale, or disposal, with strong emphasis on data security and asset management.

You will be part of a small, focused team, working on laptops, monitors, and peripherals, and occasionally traveling to client sites for handovers. Immediate start in early September is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on IT technician experience, suitable for someone in their first or second technical role.
• A relevant qualification, such as an IT diploma.
• Solid working knowledge of laptops and hardware.
• Comfortable booting, troubleshooting, and following a script to wipe and prepare a device.
• Reliable, methodical, and able to work as part of a small on-site team.
• Able to commit to onsite work in Bathgate for the contract duration.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process IT assets, including laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
• Wipe and reset devices in line with data security processes and provided scripts.
• Check equipment in and out and keep accurate asset records.
• Prepare devices for reuse, resale, or secure disposal.
• Liaise with third-party vendors to arrange collection of decommissioned equipment.
• Travel to other client sites when needed to prepare and hand over devices for collection.
