Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a senior Infrastructure Engineer for a hands‑on, on‑site role in Scotland. You will migrate and stabilise legacy IT estates, relocate equipment, and design low‑risk remediation plans across Dell, Windows Server, Hyper‑V/VMware, and Cisco Meraki environments.

You will lead on‑site physical work, manage backups with Veeam, and mentor junior colleagues while coordinating with security, PMs and vendors. Travel to Scotland sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Senior infrastructure experience in a mid-to-large organisation with complex legacy environments.
• Experience in regulated sectors and handling sensitive data securely.
• Hands-on with Dell servers, Windows Server, Hyper-V/VMware, QNAP NAS and Cisco Meraki.
• Strong networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, ACLs) and physical infra skills.
• Ability to mentor juniors and lead projects without dominance.

Responsibilities

• Assess legacy infrastructure and plan low‑risk migration and remediation.
• Relocate legacy equipment between sites, including cabling and re‑cabling.
• Commission server rooms with racks and structured cabling.
• Manage Dell servers, Windows Server and virtualization across environments.
• Configure and maintain QNAP NAS storage and backup/restore with Veeam.
• Configure Cisco Meraki networking including firewalls and VLANs.
• Support SaaS migrations and identity work across AD and Entra ID.
• Act as senior escalation point and mentor junior IT staff.
