Job summary

Aldenham Estate is seeking a technically capable Financial Accountant to act as the accounting backbone during a 2-3 month interim term. You will own monthly closes, reconciliations, VAT, payroll administration and day-to-day finance systems tasks across multiple entities.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will help replace Sage 50 with Re-Leased, document robust procedures and build resilient financial controls while collaborating with internal teams and external advisers.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, part-qualified or QBE.
• Strong technical accounting capability.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and year-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Run the monthly close across all entities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns and year-end schedules.
• Manage payroll administration and banking controls.
• Support the finance system replacement and Re-Leased integration.
• Document key procedures and improve controls and resilience.
