Job summary

apetito in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to operate onsite five days a week. You will report to the Senior HR Manager and manage a busy ER workload, delivering compliant guidance and coaching managers to apply fair, consistent HR policies.

You will build strong relationships across the business, drive best practice, support TUPE and change projects, and ensure accurate HR documentation. A driving licence and transport are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a HR Advisor role including employee relations casework.
• Experience using HR databases and case management systems.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload and cases.
• Excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
• Up-to-date employment law knowledge.
• Proven ability to influence managers and build relationships.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Responsibilities

• Advise on all employee relations matters (performance, absence, disciplinary, grievances).
• Provide timely, compliant guidance in line with legislation and policy.
• Manage ER casework to resolution using HR systems.
• Partner with and coach managers to build confidence in handling people issues.
• Support HR projects (e.g. TUPE, redundancies, organisational change).
• Deliver training on key HR policies.
• Maintain and update HR templates and guidance.
• Attend and support formal case meetings.
• Analyse and report on HR KPIs (absence, disciplinaries, turnover, headcount).
• Produce reports from HR systems.
• Continuously improve HR processes, policies and practices.
• Support HR communications and employee benefit initiatives.
• Prepare contracts, offer letters and onboarding documentation.
• Assist with Works Council and employee forums.
