Job summary

Avantor is seeking an experienced technician to deliver routine maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, with a strong emphasis on HPLC and UHPLC systems, across Manufacturing and R&D laboratories. You will plan, execute and document maintenance activities to maximise instrument availability and compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience repairing Laboratory equipment and instrumentation, specifically HPLC instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Own routine and reactive maintenance of HPLC and uHPLC systems across laboratory areas, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with quality/regulatory standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance for a broad range of laboratory equipment, coordinating with production to minimise disruption.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable service records, update asset management systems, and support lifecycle management including end-of-life or replacement justifications.
  • Assist in calibration documentation and verification checks, ensuring traceability and adherence to quality system requirements.
