Job summary

4Recruitment Services in Harlow is seeking an on-site Housing Officer for a temporary, full-time contract. The role starts on-site full-time and transitions to a minimum of three on-site days per week after training, with a requirement for car access to travel across the district.

You will manage housing stock, support tenants to sustain tenancies, handle breaches and ASB cases with partners, conduct tenancy audits, and engage residents in service decisions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of housing management gained in local authority or related organisation.
• Excellent people skills with clear communication and diplomacy.
• Proactive and solution-focused approach to problems.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, landlord and tenant principles.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with breaches of tenancy conditions.
• Responding to anti-social behaviour reports, coordinating with partner agencies.
• Carrying out tenancy audits and assessing tenants' needs.
• Handling tenancy-related issues including succession, assignments and estate incidents.
• Assisting residents with tenancy and lease enquiries and providing support.
• Engaging with customers and involving them in housing service decisions.
