Job summary

Apex Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Field Engineering PM to serve as the primary on-site point of contact during deployment of engineering solutions at delivery stations and new launches.

You will verify drawings, raise MCMs, coordinate with vendors and IT, conduct site visits, manage materials, support test phases, and document compliance. Fluency in English, PMP/PRINCE2 and Six Sigma are preferred, along with willingness to travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with material handling equipment (conveyors, sortation, high-speed packaging lines).
• Demonstrated project management capability on large-scale, complex technology projects.
• Six Sigma / Lean certification or practical experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Field verification of drawings and identify interferences with existing/new equipment.
• Raise MCMs for project phases and address concerns from approver groups prior to works onsite.
• Set up and manage daily calls with vendors, Ops, WHS and RME; provide daily report to UK FE PM.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and gather stakeholder feedback; address concerns; escalate when needed.
• Manage AMZL ordered materials; coordinate with Ops/RME to transport and install.
• Coordinate with IT; obtain IDF keys and monitor IDF cabinets during data cable terminations; validate cable installation.
• Support UK FE PM during site acceptance tests (2-3 weeks onsite).
• Assist PM with closing all snags onsite.
• Obtain and validate vendor documentation against deliverables; ensure content such as DoC and DS name is correct.
• Transfer all documentation to appropriate storage location.
